How to improve defense against renegades? Here are a few tricks!

Here is a Full list of renegades

Renegade’s morale can be increased in a Council Hall. If the opponent’s renegade is much stronger than yours (attributes are much higher), morale can increase your minimum damage and decreases the maximum damage received. The higher the morale, the better is this damage adjustment. Higher the morale, the more protection boost you’ll get given that your side is weaker.

Formula how renegades are compared

If star levels and buildup degrees are similar:

  • Slot 1: renegade’s strength and technique attributes and their skill mechanism
  • Slots 2 and 3: renegade’s physique and protection attributes

Renegades positions/slots

From season 2 onwards you can have multiple renegade slots. But not all slots are the same. The first slot is a main slot (offensive slot), second and third slots are support slots.

Renegades on 2nd and 3rd slots get a 90% reduction on the damage they inflict.

Tip: Allocate the points of your 2nd and 3rd slot renegades on Physique/Protection for better results.

Renegades in Real Estate and Underground Tournament

Attacker’s crew attack and defender’s crew defense buffs:

  • the higher attacker’s attack buff and the lower the defender’s defense buff is, the greater the boost ratio of renegade’s kill buff will be. As a result, the damage inflicted by renegades will be higher.

Crime ops’ initially dispatched crew amount:

  • the more crews dispatched initially in a crime ops, the higher the boost ratio of the renegade’s kill amount will be. As a result, the damage inflicted by renegades will be higher, however, this increment will stop when the dispatched crew reaches a certain amount.

Renegade skill damage

  • Renegade skill damage is tied to the crew attributes (attack and defense) of the attacking and defending sides. The side with better attributes deals more damage and receives less damage from enemy renegades.
  • The skill damage is tied to the initially dispatched crew counts. Renegades will inflict more damage if the crew count is higher. There is a limit as to when the damage no longer increases.
  • Skill damage will be proportional to real-time crew counts. Renegades will deal less damage as crews are lost in the battle rounds.
  • When the gap between renegade attributes surpasses a certain number, the stronger side’s damage will be reduce. The damage of renegades on the side with the lower attributes will increase. The higher the morale, the broader its effects are.
  • Bonus limit is 200%

Renegade Medallions

Renegade medallions are a type of equipment that can be equipped to renegades in Mafia City. They provide a variety of bonuses to the renegade, such as increased attack power, defense, or health. There are five different types of renegade medallions, each with its own unique set of bonuses.

Chance medallion

Primary attributes:

  • Boosts renegade skill trigger rate

Recommended secondary attributes:

Small tip: under the secondary attributes, the crew-related attributes only need to correspond with the main crew types dispatched by the leaders.

The type of medallion that is best for a particular renegade will depend on the renegade’s skills and the player’s play style. For example, a renegade with a skill that has a low trigger rate would benefit from a luck medallion. A renegade with a skill that places a mark on enemies would benefit from an evil eye medallion.

Renegade medallions can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as the Crude Crisis event, the Battle Pass, and the daily purchase event. They can also be crafted using materials that are obtained from these events.

Equipping renegade medallions can be a great way to improve the performance of your renegades. By choosing the right medallions for your renegades, you can give them a significant boost in power.

How to level up and upgrade/refine medallion?

Its primary attributes are also enhanced. Note that the primary attribute value will only be increased when enhancing Green->Blue and Purple->Orange.

Its secondary attributes are also enhanced. Each quality enhancement increases the attribute value of the Secondary Attributes. The number of secondary attributes the medallion can have is increased with the quality of the medallion.

White, Green and Blue = 1 attribute

Purple and Orange = 2 attributes

Gold = 3 attributes

You can upgrade medallion by refining it. Select a medallion you want to upgrade/refine and click refine. You have to reach certain amount of refining points to upgrade it. You can get points by selecting medallions you want to use for a refining process.

Leveling up the medallion can increase its secondary attributes value. The maximum medallion level is 20, and the attribute value can be increased by up to 4 times only.

Medallion certificates can be obtained by:

  • completing season-related tasks
  • defeating enemy crew members
  • daily season purchase events

The medallion level can be reset by using 1.000 gold. Note that all the medallion certificates used to level up the medallion will be returned.

Important notes:

  • medallions can not be reset after enhancement
  • after using a leveled-up medallion as enhancement material, all medallion certificates used to level up the corresponding enhancement material will be returned
  • at the end of the season, medallions are reset to Lv. 0 but do not disappear, and the medallion certificates are cleared simultaneously.

Ways of obtaining medallions: (permalink)

Troops positioning

<- Go Back

Presentation how troops are positioned in a battle.

LayerTroopsExplanation
1TankersFirst and second layer are meant
to protect your offensive troops
so they can deal survive for longer
and deal more damage.
2CarriersThey get defense bonus when
attacking a turf.
3CombatersOffensive bulkers have low defense
so if you plan on using them, you
have to combine it with defensive
bulkers as well, as they server as
their defense. It’s always good
to add some combaters if you have
high bulker attack.
4RidersBikers have a Charge ability, which
allows them to charge through
short-range troops and attack
long-range troops directly.
5AssaultersBikers have a Charge ability, which
allows them to charge through
short-range troops and attack
long-range troops directly.
They get attack bonus during
resource battles.
6GunnersTroops with high hit-rate, but they
can’t bypass layers. They attack layer
by layer. So if opponent has a lot
of tankers, they will keep attacking
tankers.
7SnipersSnipers can bypass layers and get
attack bonus when defending a turf.
They are better for defending a turf,
than they are for attacking it.
8Assault vehiclesThey are good for attacks on turfs.
Lower hit-rate is compensated with
high damage/attack.
They get attack bonus when
attacking a turf.

Troops and their attack range

Info about troops

<- Go Back

Not all troops are the same. Some are better at dealing damage, others are better at taking damage (tankers). As I mentioned in Stats in general. All stats are important and battles are made in rounds.

ShooterGunners (male)Snipers (female)
VehicleCarriers (defense)Assault vehicles (offense)
Crew classes and their types explained.

Tankers are better at taking damage than other troops so you obviously need them. The longer they can survive, the more damage you can deal with your ranged attackers. This is why you have to improve the defense and health of tankers. Tankers most likely won’t kill other troops. So don’t look at battle reports and say “bruh, these are worthless, they didn’t make a single kill”. Maybe. They maybe didn’t. But they sacrificed themselves so your attack troops could last longer and kill more troops. If you are attacking a stronger opponent, make the ratio of tankers slightly higher. If you are attacking weaker players, then you don’t need that many tankers and you can go with lower tankers:attackers ratio. When attacking turfs, always add some defensive vehicles as their effect is to get extra defense when attacking turfs – replace some (not all) tanks with defensive vehicles.

Offensive bulkers – if you have a high bulker attack, you can always add some offensive bulkers to your march.

Riders – if the opponent has a lot of tankers, offensive bulkers, and defensive vehicles, you should add some riders to your formation. Their skill is to drive through the crowd and get to other offensive troops and thus avoid the defensive line (defensive troops).

Snipers – first line of defense when defending a turf. Their skill is to deal extra damage when defending a turf. So when you are reinforcing someone’s turf, always send some snipers as well.

Female bikers – strong against all shooters but they also die very fast

Stats in general

<- Go Back

Rule of thumb – all stats are important. I know it sounds stupid, but that’s exactly how it is. Attack stats are obviously important when attacking. But so are defense and health.

Although it seems like a battle in MC happens all at once, that’s not how it is. It is made in rounds. The battle lasts X rounds (or less if one of the fighters loses all troops). The fight is simulated each round. Troops are selected from both sides. This is why formations are very important, so correct troops are chosen. When the opponent attacks your troops (in a given round) health determines if the troop will survive the round or it will only be wounded. Defense affects how much damage can be reduced when attacked. So having a high attacking stat will deal a lot of damage, but that doesn’t help if your troop can easily be wounded/killed.

If you don’t know how high each stat should be, try this.

  • Health stat should be at least 100% (but yeah, higher is always better).
  • The defense stat should be around the same as your average attack stat.
  • Attack stat, pick one attack that you prefer and this is your primary attack stat (it will also determine what formation will be the best for you). The rest of the attack stats must follow.

Example:   Bulker attack 700%  other attack stats 200%   – this is not OK

Bulker attack 500% other attack stats 350%    – this is better. Why? Because you need all troops in a fight. If you fight only with one sort of troops you create a weakness – it’s easy to counterattack your formation.
